West Baden Springs Hotel (opens in Spring 2007)
Website: http://www.westbadenspringshotel.com/

Looking like a fairy-tale castle, the West Baden Springs Hotel draws nationwide interest. Originally opened in 1902, the West Baden will reopen its doors to the public in Spring of 2007, since being closed as a hotel since 1932. Once called the Eighth Wonder of the World, the historic landmark boasts an impressively vast free-span dome, the largest of its kind in the world until the creation of the Astrodome in 1965. In its restored glory the dome stands 100 feet tall and 600 feet in circumference. Wast Baden has had many incarnations — grand resort, Jesuit seminary, private college, collapsing ruin, restoration-in-progress, and now again a wold-class luxury resort. Visit the sunken garden with its English gardens and springs pavilions. Stay in one of the 249 luxury guest rooms and suites. Dine at Sinclair's in the hotel's original dining room. Relax with cocktails and light fare in the spectacular domed atrium, while a string quartet plays suspended above the 24 foot chandelier, or treat yourself to a getaway at the West Baden Spa and natatorium, recreated from the original 1902 design.
